This is The Small Comet, a small website kept by starlightgideon. I live in the noisy end of a steep street, which shapes most of what I do.
I write things down here so I stop making the same mistakes, which works about half the time. I started stargazing about seven years ago, after a friend lent me a red torch.
You'll see Hobnob, my telescope, in most posts. The telescope is called Hobnob, which made sense at the time.
The short story is a birthday present I nearly gave away, about three years ago. This site is my notebook: what worked, what didn't, and what I keep forgetting.
The Small Comet has no comments or newsletter, just the feed. The Small Comet is plain HTML and CSS, written by hand and updated whenever there's something new.
